Good To Go 2010
Good to Go 2010 PDF Print E-mail

22nd – 27th March 2010

This year’s edition is aiming to carry on the tradition of last years, inviting professors from prestigious European Universities and personalities of both the Romanian and the international business environment. This way, we want to combine the theory and the practice, building a solid base for the young entrepreneurs.

This year the structure of Good to Go has changed, in order to reach more interested students in Romania. There will be a series of national conferences, followed by the core project in Bucharest. For the latest we will choose the most qualified and ambitious students from all around the country.

The topics we will approach this year aim to complete the previous ones, choosing three main directions: Strategic Management, Building a Competitive Team and Key Accounts, all of them being essential for a successful business.

As mentioned before, Good to Go 2010 is the first Business Club project that will be holding a series of national conferences in towns such as: Timisoara, Cluj, Iasi, Constanta and Craiova. Thus, we intend to bring up-to-date information to students that have fewer opportunities of participating in this kind of events, where they can interact directly with successful businessmen.

The core project in Bucharest will consist of a week of seminars and workshops tackling the above mentioned topics. It will have two finalities: the first one will consist in finding solutions to a complex case study (activity where the participants will be working in teams, during the whole project) and the second one will comprise the Business Simulation offered by Contrast. By means of the latest the students will be able to put into practice all the information accumulated during the seminars.

Among the speakers we intend to invite this year we can mention: Dinu Patriciu – ex majority shareholder at Rompetrol, Florin Adronescu – founder of Flanco, Octavian Radu – owner of RTC, John Wirth – CEU Business School and Peter Oostveen – owner of Drosa.

• National Conferences

Good to Go 2010 is the first Business Club project that will be holding national conferences in five major cities in Romania: Timisoara, Cluj, Iasi, Constanta and Craiova.  By means of this conferences we intend to invite young entrepreneurs to talk about the challenges they faced at the beginning of their business, share their experiences and accomplishments with the young students thus inspiring them.

• Strategic Management

During a time that is characterized by an ever-changing business environment, high competitiveness and innovation, differentiating oneself seems like the only solution to remaining in business. This requires thorough analysis, hard work and most importantly, strategic planning.

• Building a Competitive Team

Nowadays, team is of ultimate importance to any business. Knowing to choose the right people for each position, being able to delegate accordingly and keeping your team motivated are the things that make a business stronger.  Without the help of a competitive team, running and growing a business is much harder, if not impossible.

• Value chain management

When running a business choosing how to divide your efforts is of extreme importance. You can try to impart your efforts in every direction or you could just select the most advantageous ones and try to make them even more profitable. Sustaining a long-term relationship with the clients and the providers, based on mutual respect and understanding is one key point in running a successful business.
